Test Teach Test Approach (TTT)

The Test Teach Test (TTT) approach is a method of teaching and learning that involves presenting new information or a skill to a student, providing an opportunity for the student to practice and demonstrate their understanding, and then assessing their understanding through a test or assessment.

The TTT approach is often used in classrooms and other educational settings as a way to ensure that students are learning and retaining new information effectively. The TTT approach typically consists of three stages:
  1. Test: The teacher presents a pre-test or diagnostic assessment to determine what the student already knows about the subject or skill being taught. This helps the teacher tailor the instruction to the student's needs and identify any gaps in their knowledge.
  2. Teach: The teacher provides instruction on the new information or skill, using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
  3. Test: The teacher assesses the student's understanding of the new information or skill through a post-test or summative assessment. This allows the teacher to determine whether the student has mastered the material and identify any areas that may need further instruction.
The TTT approach is often used in conjunction with other teaching and learning strategies, such as differentiated instruction, to ensure that students receive the support and guidance they need to be successful learners.
